SQN Banking Systems Offers Added Security to Fifth District Savings Bank Customers
-SENTRY: Signature™ helps to prevent identity theft and check fraud-
Rancocas, N.J., March 11, 2009– Rancocas, N.J.-based SQN Banking Systems, a provider of integrated fraud detection and process improvement products for the financial industry,
has been selected by New Orleans-based Fifth District Savings Bank to use its SENTRY: Signature system. The new system will help Fifth District Savings to protect customers against
identity theft by displaying customer photo ID's and signatures to tellers during bank transactions.
“Identity theft is a growing problem and it is important that financial institutions work to protect their customers by having an additional
deterrent that prevents them from becoming victims,” said Stan Jaslar, chief technology officer at SQN. “Our SENTRY: Signature system enhances
bank security and improves customer service by decreasing teller transaction time.”
Fifth District Savings Bank customers will have their photo ID and signature captured during the account opening process. Tellers will have
access to the data immediately after it’s been entered into the SQN database through their Zeus teller system and the information will appear
instantly on their computer screens. Signature information gathered from Fifth District Savings’ previous system was transferred into SENTRY: Signature
to offer existing clients the added security measure without the hassle of resubmitting information.
SQN Banking Systems is one of the leading providers of image-survivable check security and fraud solutions, software and products. Fifth District
Savings is a federal mutual savings association and operates six branches throughout the greater New Orleans area.
