The data, including payee name, date and amount, is encrypted on the printed check. Upon presentment, the check is scanned and the barcode is read, enabling instant comparison of encrypted check data to the data printed on the check. In the back office, checks are automatically scanned and compared to encrypted data. SENTRY: Seal eliminates the need for transmission of daily issue files from bank customers.
