- Latest technology in check fraud detection protects issuing
bank or company from alteration of official checks
using an image-survivable seal or barcode
- Companies or banks
issue a check with a seal that contains data about the check including
payor, payee, amount, date and check number
- Check is deposited,
scanned and presented to issuing bank for payment
- SENTRY: Seal compares
encrypted information from the seal to check image
data
- If the data does
not match, the check is returned

Seal prevents fraud on
checks generated at your bank by printing a seal containing
account information on every check. The seal contains
critical data about the check, such as payee name, account
number, check number and date of issue. The check-specific
data travels with the newly created document and remains
intact when converted to an Image Replacement Document
(IRD). When the check returns to your bank, Seal is used to match the readable data against the original
encoded data in the seal.
